6 Ways to make the grade

It's that time of year again for the kids to go back to school.

In the spirit of summer ending, we have put together 6 Ways to help your kids make the grade this school year!
  • Start and end the day with well-balanced meals: Energize their minds and bodies to begin the day!
  • ​Pack healthy snacks: Kids need healthy, natural foods for snacks throughout the day. This will give them energy and help them with their concentration.
  • Exercise after school is a Must! 60 minutes minimum: Obesity is a problem in society today. Kids need to be active & burn the extra energy from sitting at school all day. It will help them focus on homework time!
  • ​Limited TV or Computer Time: The average child spends three hours in front of a TV or Computer- make this a reward instead of allowing your children to ‘veg’ in front of these deadly devices.
  • ​Consistent Bedtime: Kids aged 5-12 need 10-11 hours of sleep a night to function properly, and kids aged 12-19 need 8-9 hours of sleep per night. Plan it accordingly!
  • ​They MUST have a properly functioning nervous system: In the presence of nervous system interference, kids cannot function properly. They may lose focus, have low energy or get sick often during the school year. This is why ALL children should be checked for vertebral subluxation by their chiropractor
